Dr. Terence Tan is the Medical Director and Founder of Halley Body Slimming Clinic and Halley Medical Aesthetics. Prior to setting up the Halley group of clinics, Dr. Terence Tan was the General Manager for the Specialist and Primary Care Division of Healthway Medical Group and Acting Vice President (Business Development) for the Parkway Shenton medical group.
Dr. Terence Tan has a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He obtained his surgical qualifications with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2003.

Under his leadership, the clinic was recognised for its experience and achievements in CoolSculpting with the “Club 1000” award in 2018 and “Club 2000” award in 2019 by Allergan Aesthetics. We also received the “Body Contouring Diamond Award” in 2022 and 2023.

Dr. Terence Tan believes in the scientific basis behind the art of medical aesthetics, which leads him to be actively involved in research that will advance the care and treatment outcome of body and face aesthetic treatments. He has a special interest on the use of CoolSculpting for body contouring, and his research has been presented in international meetings from Monaco and Spain to Japan, China, and the Middle East.
Halley Body Slimming Clinic was also the site for two scientific studies, one involving the CoolSculpting Advantage and the other using the CoolSculpting Elite.
The first study, “High Participant Satisfaction Achieved Using Cryolipolysis for Fat Reduction of the Abdomen and Flanks”, which Dr. Terence Tan was the lead doctor was published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal in December 2021. The journal is a peer-reviewed international journal focused on scientific developments and clinical techniques in aesthetic surgery.
He was also part of a 2021 “Prospective, Multi-Country, Post-Marketing Study With Novel Dual-Applicator Cryolipolysis System” study which he presented during the 2023 CoolSculpting Elite launch in Singapore and Thailand.
